I bought the car when I was 16 as my first car. It started life as a v8 auto hatchback, it was mandarin red with black interior. Within 6 mths I had it resprayed and fitted the flares etc. I drove it on the street that way for a couple of years before hurting the motor in a skid at springnats, it was time for a new one. Still on p plates I built “minifryzem“, this engine was an amcar 253 built as a methanol engine, we dropped the comp a little and in it went that motor did daily duties for about 5 years we drove it skid comps around the states and smashed tyres then drove it home towing the spares trailer behind. I hurt that motor at easternats when that happened we built the 308 that would lift our game and put us in the lime light so to speak, it was highly competitive and the most reliable motor ive seen. The car would skid twice as much as every one else because both myself and Helen would compete. It was in there for almost 5 years. With every event we competed at gaining an award of some description. The greatest moment I had with that motor was gazzanats 07 where I won the aspirated burnouts and Helen won iron maiden competitor.  When the 308 broke at ingham in 2009 the decision was made there and then that a chev would be built for it, not quite to the calibre of what it is but things ran away a bit and im a firm believer of do it right the first time, which meant a dart little m block as the base. I had always since I bought the car wanted it to be blown one day and now was the time I had done my “apprenticeship” in the burnout scene  and figured that’s it lets do it, I didn’t tell anyone about the blower as I wanted it to be a surprise even Helen new nothing about it until the night before we started tuning. The first time I drove the car was at ingham car and bike extravaganza 2010 and it went off perfectly I couldn’t wish for better. Now we just want to have fun with car again this is ultimately why we do it.
